Meaningful photos begin
with a relationship.
SO LET’S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER
SO LET’S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER
I’ve always been a sucker for images that evoke a feeling. Often, they’re of honest, organic moments that happen even if a camera was no where in sight.
These are photographs that make my heart feels most alive—the ones that could be easily overlooked—of the whispers and the glances.
Those sweet exchanges are where the richness lives and the real story is told.
My husband John and I married in 2019, in the mountains of North Carolina.
My last name is pronounced “Brock-er.” It’s German!
Penn, our pup, was named after John’s favorite author, Robert Penn Warren. He’s a wild, yet fiercely loyal little thing.
Our favorite registry items was our Smithey Ironware skillet.
The first thing we set up in our new house was our record player so Van Morrison could fill the rooms while unpacking.
Our dream trip is to northern Italy—cycling during the day and sipping cocktails in the piazza in the evening (an aperol spritz for me, negroni for him).
LET’S TALK AS FRIENDS, HERE
01
It’s so important to find a photographer that you feel connected to—
someone who makes you feel comfortable and calm. After all, your
photographer will be with you for your entire wedding day—more than
your parents, your friends, or even your partner! For this reason, I begin
every inquiry process with a phone call so we can get to know each
other better, and I can know if I’m the person who can serve you best.
02
Your wedding day should be all about the experience—not centered around
numerous photo sessions. I want to walk alongside you and capture the day
as it naturally unfolds. This is why I am very involved in your timeline
creation and help you create a custom schedule that—while efficient and
organized—allows for enough time for you to slow down, soak in the
emotions of your day, and never rush through the sentimental moments.
03
Get your partner involved early on so they can take part in the
appreciation on the day of. Find what elements they get excited
about and lean into those. As your photographer, I want to get to
know you both so I can capture your relationship and story the best
way possible. Engagement sessions can be great for this reason.
